Queen Latifah Will Star In New Netflix Thriller ‘End Of The Road’

Queen Latifah is starring in a new action thriller on Netflix, End of The Road. She’s also slated to be an executive producer of the film directed by Emmy-nominated director, Millicent Shelton in her feature film directorial debut. 

Shelton is a seasoned director whose work includes P-Valley, black-ish, Insecure, The Walking Dead, and 30 Rock. She began her career directing music videos for Aaliyah, Mary J. Blige, and Salt-N-Pepa before transitioning to on screen comedies and dramas. 

In the movie, the plot follows the recently widowed character “Brenda” who is driving her family across the country to start fresh. While in the desert of New Mexico, they will have to fight back after becoming the target of a mysterious killer. 

David Loughery, who wrote The Intruder and Obsessed is writing the script for End of The Road, based on an original script by Christopher Moore

Tracie Edmonds, producer of Soul Food and Jumping the Broom, is producing the film alongside Mark Burg who produced John Q and Saw.  

A release date hasn’t been set for the film yet, but Queen Latifah fans can see her in a CBS reboot of The Equalizer as "Robyn McCall" after the Super Bowl on February 7, 2021.
