Tosin Cole, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. To Lead LeBron James' 'House Party' Reboot

Reboots are certainly leading the way in Hollywood. Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall are riding the high from their Coming To America sequel starring Jermaine Fowler, Waiting To Exhale is being transformed into a television series and Warner Bros. is developing a New Jack City reboot. Joining the list of reboots coming to a screen near you, Springhill Entertainment and New Line Cinema are developing reboot of the popular franchise, House Party.

Springhill Entertainment and New Line Cinema have found the stars for the highly-anticipated reboot, Tosin Cole and Jorge Lendeborg Jr. Cole is a 28-year-old actor who is best known for his role as Ryan Sinclair in the television series Doctor Who. Lendeborg is a 25-year-old actor hailing from the Dominican Republic who has appeared in Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Boogie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Bumblebee.

The film is slated to be produced the LeBron James and Maverick Carter's producing banner, SpringHill Entertainment. Stephen Glover and Jamal Olori of the hit series, Atlanta, will pen the script. Meanwhile, Spencer Beighley, Jamal Henderson, Reginald Hudlin and Warrington Hudlin.

While New Line Cinema and SpringHill Entertainment round out other key parts of the production, Cole will star in the upcoming ABC series, 61st Street, produced by Michael B. Jordan. Lendeborg Jr. is slated to appear in the upcoming Netflix thriller, Night Teeth. SpringHill Entertainment will also work toward the release of Space Jam: A New Legacy, starring James, Don Cheadle and Sonequa Martin-Green. It is slated to debut in theaters and on HBO Max in July. Unfortunately, the promising House Party reboot cannot say the same. Stay tuned for more details regarding the film's development.
