Social media is buzzing after the 2023 Grammys where pop sensation Harry Styles snagged one of the night's biggest awards over 32-time award winner Beyoncé.

On Sunday (February 5), the 65th Annual Grammy Awards brought together music's biggest stars including Beyoncé, who broke the all-time record for most wins by a single act.

Bey took home awards for Best Traditional R&B Performance with “Plastic Off the Sofa,” Best Dance/Electronic Recording with “Break My Soul,” Best R&B Song with "Cuff It," and made history when she won Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for Renaissance, beating out conductor Georg Solti's previous record of 31 career wins.

However, when it came down to Album Of The Year, arguably the night's biggest award, Beyoncé was overlooked. In a stacked category including Adele's 30 and Bad Bunny's Un Verano Sin Ti, Harry earned the coveted Grammy.

Many social media users believe Beyoncé and even other artists in the category were snubbed by the Recording Academy.

"Having a choice between Beyonce or Bad Bunny and somehow giving it to Harry Styles is an incredible way to unite African Americans, the general African diaspora, Hispanics, and Latinos," one tweet reads.

Others didn't take kindly to Harry's acceptance speech, where he said that "this doesn't happen to people like me very often."

"Harry styles said 'this doesn’t happen to people like me very often' and I gotta be honest I can’t think of a type of people this happens for more," a Twitter user quipped.

"A black woman hasn't won in over 20 years and a Hip Hop artist hasn't won in 19 years. A white man won in 2015," another said alongside Harry's controversial quote.
