A viral video captured former NFL quarterback Cam Newton getting dragged into a massive brawl on Sunday (February 25). According to TMZ, the fight broke out during a 7-on-7 youth football camp at the B.E.S.T. Academy 6-12 in Atlanta.

Shocking footage shows at least three men grappling and swinging at Newton as the altercation gets pulled over to a nearby fence, knocking over chairs and sending people running. As the fight continued, a man in a white T-shirt ran up and threw a punch at the decorated ex-NFL player. Staff members and a police officer quickly arrive to break up the brawl.

No word on what caused the physical altercation.

USA Today Sports said We Ball Sports, an apparel and sports media company, organized the event. C1N, a youth sports foundation created by Newton, was reportedly sponsoring one of the teams during the football camp.

Everyone involved in the fight, including Newton, was removed from the event, We Ball Sports co-founder Nehemiah Mitchell told The Atlantic. The news source also learned two coaches with TopShelf Performance (TSP), a national 18U 7-on-7 football program, threw hands during the wild tussle.

“We are deeply concerned about the recent incident involving Cam Newton, and our thoughts are with all parties affected," TSP trainers Stephon and TJ Brown said in a statement to The Athletic. "Violence has no place in our community, and we strongly condemn any form of aggression.”

Neither Cam Newton nor his team has addressed the fight as of Monday morning (February 26).
