Caitlyn Jenner shared a clear message on social media following the death of O.J. Simpson.

On Thursday (April 11), news broke that Simpson, a former NFL player who was later acquitted of murder, had died of cancer at age 76.

“Good Riddance #OJSimpson,” Jenner posted on X soon after the announcement.

Jenner's connection to Simpson stems from his previous marriage to Kris Jenner, who is also the ex-wife of Robert Kardashian, the lawyer who represented Simpson in his murder trial.

In June 1994, Simpson's ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, were found dead outside of her home. Simpson had previously pleaded no contest to a domestic violence charge while he was married to Nicole Simpson and was accused of killing his ex-wife and her friend.

The case erupted as Simpson was charged with murder but refused to turn himself in and attempted to flee in his vehicle. A police chase for Simpson was televised and garnered an audience of roughly 95 million people.

A highly publicized trial resulted in Simpson being found not guilty of the two killings. To avoid media, Simpson would stay at Kardashian's house. The lawyer was also accused of transporting a bag that prosecutors believed may have contained evidence in the case.

In 1997, Goldman's family sued Simpson. The former NFL player was found liable for the wrongful death and battery of Goldman and the battery of Nicole Simpson. He was ordered to pay $33.5 million.
