Jonathan Majors admitted to choking his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, in newly released audio.
In September 2022 audio obtained by Rolling Stone, Majors admitted that he strangled Jabbari, who he dated from 2021 to 2023, while the two were discussing the aftermath of a fight that took place in London while they were living together.
“I’m ashamed [as] I’ve ever [been] …,” Majors said in the audio, per the outlet. “I’ve never [been] aggressive with a woman before. I’ve never aggressed a woman — I aggressed you.”
“You strangled me and pushed me against the car," Jabbari responded.
“Yes, all those things are under ‘aggressed,’ yeah,” the actor replied. “That’s never happened to me.”
Jabbari then asked Majors if his violent act was caused by something she said.
“Because I said something sarcastically, in your eyes?” Jabbari asked.
“Well clearly, it’s more than that,” Majors said.
“Something inside of you,” she responded.
“Yeah, towards you,” he said as the audio ended.
The unearthed audio comes after Majors was convicted of assault and harassment in December 2023 in connection to a domestic dispute with Jabbari. Majors was sentenced to probation and ordered to complete a 52-week domestic violence intervention program.
